The Department of Applied Foreign Languages has complete and up-to-date facilities for language teaching.  These include a Multimedia Language Training Lab, featuring a one-on-one intercom system; an Interpretation Lab, complete with professional sound-proof interpretation booths; a mini-auditorium Rehearsal Space for practicing conference presentations and showcasing small-scale stage performances; a Reading Lab, where students can not only check out books but can also find a quiet space for private reading time; and a variety of conference and meeting rooms, for holding discussions or planning group projects. In addition, all general AFL classrooms are equipped with multi-purpose computer-lecterns, video and audio projection equipment, and internet access. Teachers as well as students can use the classroom equipment for creating professional-style lectures, seminars, or presentations.
